Diapontia islands are a complex, northwest of Corfu, of the islands Erikoussa, Othoni and Mathraki. The islands are rich in vegetation and have beautiful beaches and sea caves.
The island of Erikoussa (6 nautical miles north of the promontory of Drastis on northern Corfu) is on the most northern of Diapontia islands. The inhabitants are mainly engaged in oil industry, fishery and tourism. The island has only one port, Porto, which constitutes its main settlement, it is picturesque and has a nice beach.
Othoni (12 nautical miles from Corfu) is the biggest of the islands, the most distant from Corfu and the most western part of the Greek territory and the Ionian sea. It is characterized by impressive rocks in its shores and a number of sea caves.
Mathraki (4,5 nautical miles west of Corfu) is the smallest of Diapontia islands, ideal for hiking and has some excellent beaches. The port of the island is Plakes.
