Lefkimmi, the largest township and capital of the southern complex of Corfu, is a quiet, picturesque and very beautiful town in a fertile plain with vineyards, olives and garden produce as well as a small river that divides it into two. The area retains unchangeable its traditional identity, with picturesque streets and houses with island architecture.
Here, you will be able to see traditional settlements of southern Corfu (Anaplades, Potami, Melikia, Riglades, Aghii Theodori, Kavos, etc.), all built in a dense vegetation, with old Venetian mansions, picturesque neighborhoods and squares. Moreover, you can visit the saltworks of Lefkimmi, today a very important wetland in maintaining the flora and fauna of Corfu, as well as the lake of Korission, one of the most important wetlands of the island.
If you are keen on religious tourism, you can visit the monastery of Kyra ton Aggelon (Lady of Angels) (1698), built by the sons of Kapodistrias, as the meeting of an offering that they had made to Virgin Mary, the monastery of Virgin Mary Eleoussa (Beata Vergine Eleusa), on Arkoudilas hill, built by the Venetians. Here, during World War II was built the emplacement of the Greeks.

A sandy beady at the north side of the island, at Akoudilas cape. You may go there from Dragotina and Spartera. You’ ll find it after walking through the forest of Arkoudilas.

A unique, organized and crowded long beach, with sand and clean shallow waters, ideal for children. It is fully organised with umbrellas and deck chairs and has a big variety of taverns and snack bars. Near the beach you may find hotels and other lodgings.
