Ithaca, the second smaller island in the Ionian Sea, is situated south of Lefkas island and northeast of Kefalonia island, from which its distance is only 2 nm. There is a ferry connection through Sami. It is also connected by boat with Lefkas, Patra and Astako in Aetoloakarnania. Ithaca doesn’t have an airport. It’s served by the one in Kefalonia just like it happens with the buses (it is the same one heading to Kefalonia from where there is a connection).Corfu is the northmost island of the Ionian Sea, in the mouth of the Adriatic Sea, near the continental coasts of Greece and Albania. It has an international airport and is connected by boat to west Greece, especially Igoumenitsa (500 km from Athens and Thessaloniki), and Italy.
