How to get to Kefalonia

Kefalonia, the biggest island in the Ionian Sea, is opposite Patraikos bay, north of Zakynthos and south of Lefkas. It has an airport receiving flights from European countries as well (charter flights during the summer) and two main ports: In Sami, from where boat go to Ithaca, Patra and Italy, and in Poros from where boats go to Kilini (Helia).

Kefalonia is connected:

  • By bus with Athens and Patra
  • By air with Athens, Thessaloniki
  • By boat with Patra, Kilini and Astako in Aetoloakarnania
