Livadi

Livadi is a village in the south of Kythira, on the main road, 4km from Hora, the capital of the island. It is a busy area, developed touristically and, today, the most important commercial centre of Kythira. Here you will find shops of every kind, quaint taverns, luxury restaurants, hotels and rented rooms.

It is worth visiting the stone bridge in Katouni, considered one of the main attractions of the island. It was built in the period of British domination and is the largest bridge of its kind in Greece. It is based on 13 arches and is considered one of the most majestic bridges in Greece. Additionally, you can visit the impressive British school, built in Gothic style, as well as notable religious monuments such as the church of Aghios Andreas, with remarkable frescoes (12th century) inside and incredible sea views and the monasteries of Panaghia Mirtidiotissa and Aghia Elessa.
