Aghios Nikitas is a beautiful village, built in a small bay with crystal green-blue waters, on the northwestern coast of Lefkada island, 14km southwest of the city. The village lies on the edge of a lush forest mainly of old olive trees and cars are prohibited here (you can park on the road, before getting in the village). It is a village with traditional houses and quaint streets, which in recent years, tends to become a tourist attraction, as it combines the quiet walking distance from the city and other tourist areas of Lefkada.
The village is known for its beautiful sandy beach adjacent to picturesque taverns, and just 2km from the village beach is Kathisma beach, one of the most famous and most beautiful on the island.
Aghios Nikitas is classified by the Greek Ministry of Environment, as a preserved and traditional settlement.

An excellent sandy beach with turquoise water, organized and crowded. It is situated in the famous tourist settlement with the same name at the west side of the island which preserves its traditional style and authenticity. An ideal destination for swimming and good food. It is 12 km from the town.

Sandy beach with wonderful water which deepens abruptly, one of the most famous and crowded of the island. It’s at the west side, 5 km from St. Nikita. Be careful when there are waves. It has a canteen and a tavern. Ideal for paragliding lovers.

Mills beach is at the north part of the island and is the continuance of St. John beach. It was name after the mills in the area which are now being renovated and turned into stores.
Mills beach is ideal for kite surfing, with its highlight being the organization of championships by Lefkas prefecture with the participation of Greek and foreign athletes.
