Kalamitsi
Kalamitsi is one of the largest villages of Lefkada, in the western part of the island. It is built on the slope of the mountain chain of Rahi and it is not seen from the sea. In the village there are 13 mills that show all aspects of the history of the village and the period of its prosperity. In 1825, it was the unique village, outside the town, where the school used to operate.
More to the north from Kalamitsi and at a distance of 12km from the town of Lefkada, you can find the fishing village of Aghios Nikitas with its magnificent beach. Other beaches in the region are; Kalamitsi, 4km from Kalamitsi village, Kathisma, 2km from Aghios Nikitas, a unique beach with clear crystal blue waters and sand, Aghios Nikitas, in the homonym village, a wonderful beach with transparent waters and breathtaking view as you go down to the beach, Porto Katsiki, the most famous and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Mylos, next to Aghios Nikitas and last but not least, Egremni, a unique beach, next to Porto Katsiki.

Sandy beach with impressive green water. A beach you must visit! It is near Porto Katsiki, 3 km from Athani village at the southwest. It is easily accessible, but to get to the beach you should leave your vehicle and descend a lot of steps.

One of the prettier beaches in the Mediterranean with blond, thick sand and crystal clear blue water. It has received many awards for its wild beauty and most certainly is the beach you must visit!. It is after Athani village at the southwest, 45 km from Lefkas town, and the road might seem demanding.
