Kastos

Kastos is an oblong islet opposite to the coasts of Etoloakarnania, Western Greece and next to the island of Kalamos. It is an island wooded with olive trees, with many beautiful beaches mainly in the eastern part of the island.

Its few inhabitants are engaged with fishing, navigation and agriculture.

Here, you can visit the parish temple of Aghios Ioannis the Baptist, the windmills, one of which is the most well preserved mill in the entire Ionian region, as well as Fokotrypa, the sea cave, in the northern part of the port of Kastos, where seals found refuge in the recent past.
