Meganissi

Meganissi, in the east of Lefkada, is the largest island around Lefkada. It is a small green islet that consists of three settlements with the characteristic stone houses and the picturesque small ports; Vathy, Spartohori and Katomeri, which is the capital of the island. The visitors are highly impressed by the big olive trees and the vineyards, that give to the island its natural beauty and quality products.

Here, you can visit the cave of Papanikolis, a sea cave, which seems to constitute one of the hidings of Papanikolis submarine, during the World War II.
