Tragaki (650 inhabitants) is a bright green picturesque village, in the eastern side of the island, with immense olive trees, vineyards and fruit bearing trees. It has remarkable tourist infrastructure, although the most developed area of the municipality is the one of Planos (Tsilivi).
In the region, you will find the monastery of Panaghia of Dermata or Dermatoussa, remarkable architectural monument, deepen in rich vegetation, the Cultural Village of Skalia and the Avouris Theatre, a cultural area created with artistry, dedicated to the composer Dimitris Laghios and the Nautical Museum of Planos, collection of ship models, historical ship compasses, various nautical outfit and rich material from nautical life as well as a great photo collection on sea and navy.

Alikes and Alikanas beaches are connected by a sandy beach (almost 3 km). Alikes beach is ideal for all swimmers and safe for children since the sea deepens smoothly for a long distance. Alikanas is a place surrounded by olive grooves where you may find many bars, taverns and restaurants serving local and international cuisine.
