Tsilivi
Tsilivi and Planos are very popular resorts for families because of the long beach with fine sand and beautiful view and because they offer a great selection of restaurants and bars.
Tsilivi is a seaside village on the northeastern coast of the island of Zante (Zakynthos), just 6km from the main town and 9km from the airport. Tsilivi has quickly become one of the main areas on the island. The marvellous long beach, one of the best organized beach of Zante (Zakynthos), ideal for families with children, within walking distance from the capital, has made it a modern tourist resort. The beach is also indicated for water sports, as there is adequate infrastructure, especially for windsurfing, because of the northern winds blowing in the region. Directly opposite the beach of Tsilivi is a small island called Vodi (which means Ox).
Close to beach, restaurants and cafes operate, while in the area, you will find hotels and rooms. Moreover, the region is one of the best areas for nightlife because of the bars and night clubs.
Next to Tsilivi, there is Planos village, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees. It is one of the most developed tourist resorts of Zante (Zakynthos). It is located close to the city, just 6km from the centre and is mainly requested for family holidays. The beach of Planos with shallow waters and sandy beach is ideal for children and for non skilful swimmers. At close range, other beautiful beaches, distinguished for their organization are, apart from Tsilivi, Tragaki, Ampoula and Messa Gerakari.
